Life after Cambridge
OK, so you are thinking about coming to Cambridge. Believe it or not, now is a good time to think about what happens after you leave! A massive 96% of Cambridge graduates are already working or doing further study six months after they have finished here.
You are in demand out there. And the people who can help you to make the right choices are here in this building in Mill Lane: the Careers Service. And they do exactly what it says on the brass doorplate.

During your degree you will gain many transferable skills, such as the ability to research, analyse, write well and organise your time, as well as specialist knowledge (although your supervisor may not always agree). As a result you will be highly employable when you leave.

The Careers Service will be available to you for life. Not simply in the building here, but also on the web where they provide many resources for current students and alumni. They also help people who want to study a postgraduate course.

The Careers Service aims to make the decision of what to do next as easy as possible by providing extensive resources, events, a large careers library, and information on jobs and study opportunities. You can have one-to-one meetings with specialist Careers Advisers to chat about your options, as well as get help with CVs, interviews and job hunting.

OK, so you may not be absolutely certain what you want to do with your life right now but it is good to know that help will be at hand when you need it.
